save the date...... fax

No we are not getting remarried.  It was announced today that Kate and William have sent out... or rather their camp has sent out, save the date faxes!  Am I the only one that sees a problem with this?  Really a fax?  Do people still use the fax machine as a valid means of communication... especially personal correspondence?  I for one expected more.

Picking out stationary was one of the highlights of our wedding planning for me.  I realize that not everyone sends out save the dates however, if you are going to send them out, at least do it properly (in my not so humble opinion) and send out the real by-the-mail kind.

Okay my rant is over.  Point made.

In case you are in the throws of wedding planning and in the market for a save the date, here are some of my most loved options...

  1. I agree. A fax is not too personal and does not show much thought. Plus, she missed out on some fun! Oh, and I left you an award on my blog. :-)

  2. Seriously?? A fax? I expected more from the royals. And I agree with you, for something as personal as your wedding, a more personal invitation/save the date is best. It shows you put more thought into it than just a fax.

  3. I get the feeling that this entire wedding is being designed to show how "in touch with the commoners" Willz is. Or maybe the fax thing is a desperate cry to Parliament for money, lol.

  4. I thought the same thing! I mean who even has a fax machine these days?! The save-the-dates you chose here are perfection! Love them all! xoxo, Annemarie

  5. Laura, you could be right. But really I think they are taking this to the extreme if that is what they are doing.

I'm not holding out high hopes for the dress or day but maybe they will prove me wrong!

  6. I like yours the best. We just got a very fun one with a colorful map of our town showing the ocean and Balboa Island where the church is. WAY better than a fax.
