he felt it

Last night we were relaxing on the couch after having my parents over for pizza, fruit and chocolate.  I had my hands on my belly and they started kicking.... I have been feeling their kicks for a few weeks now.... the difference last night.... I could feel them kicking from the outside.  I quickly got Andrew to put his hands on my belly and at first he felt nothing, but then they decided to put on a show for him.  He kept lighting up and saying I feel it, every time he felt a kick.  It was a great moment.  So much of this pregnancy must be so foreign for my Husband.  I mean he is very involved but he isn't physically carrying these babies.... so these kicks really do mean a lot.

Dear twins in my belly...  I am not sure what motivated you to kick so hard last night that your Daddy could feel you.  Perhaps it was the pizza, perhaps it was all of the chocolate dipped fruit that Mommy ate, or perhaps it was because Mommy had just spent the last thirty minutes laughing while watching Modern Family.... whatever the reason, please keep this up.  Keep on growing!  We loved feeling you kick!

xoxo mommy
