eviction notice

Well we didn't get the usual boring... things are awesome... news at the OB's office this morning.  Things are not terrible but they are less than ideal.  The babies seem to have been put on a clock... and it's ticking faster than I would like.

Tomorrow I will hear back to see if I am developing pre-eclampsia... I had a few of the markers but none of the serious signs so I had bloodwork done to help confirm or rule out.  If it is actually confirmed (which I am doubting and the OB is doubting) then we will likely be pressured to induce.  On the other side of things my next ultrasound appointment is Tuesday and if it shows slow growth for the babies they will likely be given eviction notices.

They are happy in there... can't we just let them be?

So we are now on a mission to gently nudge them down and out before they are served with a real eviction notice ... any suggestions?

  1. No suggestions other than lots of rest and water. Hope everything is OK and those babies can keep cooking a little longer. You are far enough along though that I'm sure they will be perfect if they do have to come a little early.

  2. I hope that you don't have pre-eclampsia or have to be induced for any other reason!

  3. Fingers are crossed you don't have to go through induction!

  4. Really hope that you don't have to be induced! Probably a good idea to get started on some Evening Primrose Oil (either by mouth or applied directly to the cervix) to soften it up - getting it soft and stretchy is half the battle when it comes to induction

  5. If you are wanting to naturally go into labor now, have lots of sex (the prostaglandins in seman softens the cervix) and walk (which I know your already doing). Other than that we'll be praying your lil girls are growing still and you don't have pre-e! Good luck!
